Learn digital journalism from the best!
Digital Media Campus is addressed to young and talented journalists working for Ringier Axel Springer and students of communication and media studies or political science. The intensive training focuses on the skills needed for working in the world of modern digital publishing and covers fundamental principles of ethical behaviour of journalists. The teachers and trainers are senior reporters and experts in publishing and communication. Digital Media Campus operates in Hungary, Poland, Serbia and Slovakia.
On the occasion of the first anniversary of the murder of our colleague, investigative journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancée Martina Kušnírová, the students of Digital Media Campus were given an opportunity to participate in a competition for young authors. Written and multimedia contributions have been prepared on the topic “What the legacy of Ján Kuciak means to me”. The winners received vouchers for international media courses.
Dirk Aschoff, an expert in the field of infographics (i. e. graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge), explained to the students how to present information quickly and clearly. He explained how infographics have evolved in recent years to become a crucial tool for mass communication.
Video producer from the leading Polish news server Onet.pl Monika Podyma-Rabiega shared with the students her vast knowledge of video making. At the workshop they could get inspiration from the best practice of the leading media brands and themselves experience work with the camera and microphone.
